Dear Santa… Christmas Gifts For Brides

It’s certainly the time of year for indulgence and whether it’s a sneaky mince pie in the afternoon or a few ‘essential’ items for yourself that happen to come home with you from Christmas shopping trips, we all adore a festive treat. So, in today’s feature I’m absolutely embracing Christmas decadence and running through my pick of gifts that should make it onto every bride’s Christmas wish-list this year…

Now, these gifts are positive must-haves and you can easily explain your need for these gifts as they’re essential for getting yourself in tip-top condition before your big day. Firstly, if you love trying new products, why not ask for a beauty box subscription? Companies such as Birchbox deliver monthly packages of goodness direct to your door so you can try out all the latest products. Once your skin is looking ace, it’s time to add a bit of make-up and Benefit’s beautifully packaged gift sets are make-up heaven. Finally, I just had to include Rouge Louboutin, the signature red nail colour from Christian Louboutin. Honestly, who wouldn’t want this in their Christmas stocking?

Let’s move on from beauty to romance and a great festive gift would be a couples’ photo-shoot with your wedding photographer. Pull on your cosiest winter clothes (Christmas jumpers optional!) and head outside to practice those loved-up poses – just don’t forget the mistletoe! Another fab stocking filler would be a personalised mug featuring your new married name in all its glory. What could be more perfect for those obligatory Christmas holiday hot chocolates? Designers Snapdragon also sell personalised tote bags, hen party badges and lots of great gifts for bridesmaids and flower girls if you’re feeling generous. An incredibly romantic gift would be something that’s truly personal and meaningful like this frame featuring the lyrics to your favourite song. If you’ve already chosen the tunes for your first dance, this could be perfect.

Finally, let’s go for a little all-out luxury with a few ideas that are guaranteed to make you smile on Christmas morning. Firstly, don’t we all need a super-soft cashmere Mulberry scarf to keep the cold at bay this winter? If you believe the stories in the newspapers, we’re in for a freezing time of it in the New Year so I say, get prepared! I also love this Kate Spade ‘Blushing Bride’ bracelet because, well, Kate Spade just makes everything better. This is a really cute addition to your accessories collection and I just know you’ll love it. Finally, every bride to be needs a relaxing scented candle for those moments when you need a bit of time out. Jo Malone’s Orange Blossom candle takes the traditional bridal flower of orange blossom and makes it oh-so perfect for twenty-first Century brides.

I hope that you might have found a little something on this list to add to your own and I also hope that you enjoy every minute of the build up to the festive season. Don’t forget that for the ultimate bridal treat, book your private appointment at Coco & Kate to try on the latest wedding dresses from our fantastic designers or find your perfect accessories from our selection of bridal accessories.
